Stained Glass Commissioning/Pricing

The commissioning of a stained glass window is a beautiful addition to your home. The initial step is to select a design. This may depend on the period of your house, or you may be wishing to compliment or match existing panels. I have pattern books of original templates that offer a wide selection of designs.

I can either come to your home, or you can arrange to meet me in my workshop in Firle. After the initial meeting, with a selected design and measurements I can provide you with a rough estimate.

Prices depend on complexity of design, the size of the panel and the type of glass chosen. I am, however, able to produce windows according to your budget by possibly altering design elements or the selection of glass.

Once I have provided you with a price and you wish to proceed, I will then draw a scale template of the panel. At this stage I will ask for a deposit of 20%. This is a drawing and materials fee and will be deducted from the total cost on completion.

The next stage is to invite you to my workshop to view the drawing and to select the colour and type of glass. It is at this stage that the drawing can be changed according to how you wish the finished panel to look. I can advise you at all stages of the design process and glass selection.

Once you are happy with the proposal I will then proceed to build the panel.

I am able to supply and fit the panel as you wish.

I have full public liability insurance.

All estimates are free.
